Statement of Faith

Our God is Yahweh, the God of the Bible who created the heavens and the Earth, and all that is in them.

The Bible in its original text is the inspired, infallible Word of God, and the final authority in determining how God wants His people to live and worship.

Yeshua – Jesus of Nazareth – is the Messiah, whose coming was foretold by the Prophets. He is God manifested in flesh. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died as an atoning sacrifice for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended into the heavens. He is now alive and sits at the right hand of the Father as our Mediator. His sacrifice allows us, His disciples, to enter the presence of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob with our praises, prayers and petitions. He will someday physically return to Earth to rule as the King of kings.

At the end of the age, the saved and the lost will be resurrected: the saved unto everlasting life, and the lost unto eternal damnation. Without Yeshua/Jesus, sinful man is lost and must be born of the Holy Spirit to enter the Kingdom of heaven. The infilling and gifts of the Holy Spirit are still available and operative today. The Holy Spirit leads, guides, teaches, comforts and empowers us to live a holy life.

A holy life is manifested by obedience to the commandments of God.

Obedience to the Torah or Law of God is not a means of earning or meriting or keeping our forgiveness. Rather, the commandments of the Torah are the loving instructions of our Heavenly Father to teach us how He wants His redeemed people to live and worship. We keep His commandments because we love Him. As the Apostle John said, “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous” (1 John 5:3).

The Torah was given to Israel. When a non-Jewish person puts his trust in Jesus, the Messiah of Israel, he is grafted into Israel. His faith in Israel’s Messiah makes him a part of Israel. Therefore Israel’s Torah is for him, because he is now a member of the commonwealth of Israel.
